The article focuses on ruangrupa as an artist initiative in Jakarta engaging with the issues of the urban space through the medium of visual arts. It reflects on the program Decompression #10: Expanding the Space and the Public, a celebration of the 10th anniversary of ruangrupa, as a way for the collective to evaluate their political ideas and social roles within the urban context.
